Ive used and loved PathAway on my Palm handhelds - for years of fun and safety while navigating the Canadian backcountry and long distance walking in Europe. The new iPhone version promises to be just as useful and better looking - provided the ability to calibrate and upload custom maps is added (one of the distinguishing features of PathAway 4 & 5 for other platforms). With custom maps, nothing will be able to beat PathAway 5 for iPhone for awesome flexibility. That will make it a 5 out of 5 stars! In its present "lite" form it still works well (especially the ability to easily add waypoints and build routes on the fly) and is worth a try.
I bought this app thinking it was going to be pathways app . Now they update the app and give it a new name express and want $25 more dollars and refer to this as the LE version . But my app doesnt say LE . Next month will there be the ultimate version ?
I use to have Pathaway in other devices. Excelent program now in iPhone!
Not sure how to rate , as when I tap the app , it comes UP then disappears quickly , even after a reboot
Incredible set of resources, just lack an function to import and georeference any image, like to use your own maps. But I havent see any app that does it.
